This policy explains how TheaterWise, published by Chie Collection (“Chie”, “we”, “us”), handles information. Features vary by platform and version.
Your room plans and equipment details stay in your app’s local storage unless you choose to export or share them. Camera and microphone tools process measurements on your device.
Information used by the app
TheaterWise stores room dimensions, equipment, seating and speaker layouts, rack heat and power inputs, measurement results, calibration information, report details and preferences. This supports your planning and measurement work. No Chie account is required, and we do not operate a server that receives your project library.
Camera, room scanning and motion
With your permission, camera and compatible depth-sensing features support room scans and distance measurements. Motion sensors support alignment and orientation tools. These features process input on-device. Derived dimensions and room information may be saved in your project; camera input is not uploaded to Chie.
Microphone and audio measurements
The optional sound-measurement tools request microphone access. Audio buffers are analyzed on-device to display sound levels and frequency information. We do not receive those audio buffers or operate a recording-upload service. Saved measurement or calibration results can be retained with your work. You can revoke microphone permission in device settings.
Files, reports and backups
Files you select, such as microphone calibration files or project imports, are used locally. PDF reports and exported projects are sent only to the app, recipient or storage destination you choose. Device backups may include app data under your system settings. External reference links open the selected provider’s website under its own privacy terms.
Retention and deletion
Delete saved projects using the app’s project controls or remove the app and its local data. Manage system backups and copies you exported separately. Revoke camera and microphone access through device settings when you no longer want those features. We cannot access your local room plans to remove them remotely.
Purchases and system diagnostics
Where purchases are available, Apple or Google processes payments and supplies purchase status to unlock or restore features. We do not receive your payment-card details or store password. The stores may make transaction, sales, crash and performance reports available to developers under their policies and your device settings. We use this information to operate and improve the app.
Advertising and tracking
We do not sell personal information, use app content for advertising, or include advertising or third-party analytics SDKs in the app. Platform services described in this policy operate under their own privacy terms.
Support and privacy requests
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and resolve your request, retaining correspondence only as needed for support and applicable obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion of information you sent us at tachena@chie.design. We cannot retrieve or delete on-device content or private cloud data we do not hold. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, obtain a copy, or complain to your local privacy authority.
Children’s privacy
We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a Chie account or app server. If you believe a child has sent us personal information directly, contact us so we can address it.
This website
This policy covers the app. Visiting chie.design is separate from using the app. The website is hosted with OpenAI Sites and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Those services may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver the website. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy. Opening Instagram or another external link is subject to that service’s policies.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy and its date when the app’s data practices change, and provide additional notice or consent where required. For questions about this policy, contact Chie Collection at tachena@chie.design.
